Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Executive coaching is one-on-one relationship-based learning.  Typically, over a period of a year, an executive coach will assess, guide, explore, plan, resolve issues and achieve goals with the client.

  • Personalized Coaching: Every executive is unique, and so is our executive coaching approach. We tailor our sessions to meet your specific needs and challenges.
  • Experienced Coaches: Our coaches are experienced in the Socratic method applied to business in executive leadership and organizational development.
  • Confidentiality: We uphold the highest standards of confidentiality to provide a safe and secure space for open dialogue.
  • Results-Driven: Our success is measured by your success. We aim to deliver tangible results that have a lasting impact on your leadership and your organization.

Our clients are primarily C-level executives, senior managers, and other professionals who are looking to improve their leadership skills, decision-making, and overall effectiveness in their roles.

We specialize in healthcare and have worked with both non-profit and for profit organizations.

An executive coaching session is typically 90 minutes, but may last between one to 1-1/2 hours. The length of the session may vary depending on the needs of the client and the goals we need to achieve.  Typically, we would meet once a month and work around your other commitments.

The Socratic method is a form of dialogue-based teaching and inquiry that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving through asking and answering questions. Named after the ancient Greek philosopher Socrates, this method aims to stimulate intellectual curiosity, clarify ideas, and uncover underlying assumptions.

In the context of executive coaching, the Socratic method serves as a powerful tool for guiding intelligent, self-directed executives through complex organizational challenges. Unlike traditional coaching models that may offer direct advice or solutions, the Socratic approach focuses on asking probing questions that prompt the executive to think critically about the issue at hand.  Our philosophy is that you know your business better than we do, but we have the eyes of an outsider and the ability to ask new questions and challenge existing assumptions.

  • Self-Discovery: By asking open-ended questions, coaches guide executives to arrive at their own conclusions, fostering a sense of ownership and commitment to the solution.
  • Critical Thinking: The method encourages executives to examine their assumptions, evaluate evidence, and consider alternative perspectives, thereby enhancing their decision-making skills.
  • Tailored Solutions: Because the executive is actively involved in the problem-solving process, the solutions generated are often more aligned with the unique challenges and dynamics of the organization.
  • Empowerment: The Socratic method empowers executives to become more self-reliant and confident in their ability to tackle future challenges, reducing dependency on external consultants or advisors.
  • Clarity and Focus: The iterative questioning process helps to clarify complex issues, enabling executives to focus on the root causes rather than symptoms, which leads to more effective and sustainable solutions.

Many organizations include executive coaching as a perk for their key staff.  Non-profit organizations are eligible for grants, which in many cases, cover the full cost of executive performance coaching.  We have a standard rate which is in line with the industry average for executive coaching.

If you are self-pay, we charge on a sliding fee scale.  We believe in transparency and will share with you the calculation for you to approve before we proceed.  Know that an annual commitment of executive coaching will be an investment of the equivalent of about 3 days of your personal compensation.
